The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 'Sprite' (2025) breathes new life into the early 2000s running icon, offering a refreshingly bold colorway that fuses technical heritage with contemporary flair. Rooted in ASICS' commitment to performance and innovation, this iteration stands out for its dynamic palette inspired by the bright citrus tones of lemon-lime soda—aptly earning its “Sprite” moniker.
Overview
Reimagining the 2008 performance runner, the Gel-Kayano 14 'Sprite' arrives with a breathable white mesh base layered in silver synthetic overlays, preserving the model’s retro-futuristic design DNA. Accents of vibrant volt green and electric blue—echoing the iconic soda branding—highlight the ASICS side stripes, heel, and tongue, delivering a punch of color that contrasts sharply against the neutral base. Underfoot, the sneaker retains the full-length GEL® cushioning system that defined the Gel-Kayano series, ensuring superior shock absorption and a smooth stride. A segmented midsole design and TRUSSTIC™ support system enhance stability while celebrating the technical innovation that made the silhouette a staple in performance running.
